FIX: Windows has detected an IP address conflict

Today, I’ve noticed such an error: “Windows has detected an IP address conflict
Another computer on this network has the same IP address as this computer. Contact your network administrator for help resolving this issue. More details are available in the Windows System event log.”

This issue might appear when there are 2 computers connected to the same network. Having the same IP address on the same network creates a conflict. It is like when you have two cars of the same model and they both have same number plates, then how will you distinguish between them?

METHOD 1 – Try reconnecting your network. This usually fixes the error.

METHOD 2 – USING CMD
Run the CMD (can be as Admin, but not necessary). Type in it: ipconfig /flushdns. Next, type: ipconfig /release and then ipconfig /renew.

METHOD 3 – Make sure that your IP address and DNS server(s) are being obtained automatically.

METHOD 4 – Just wait for a while as it is possible that this issue will be resolved in some time.

If you’re still having this problem and can’t connect to the Internet while using both computers, then try restarting one of them (or both at once, if you wish). It might help.

Hope this helps!
