Why can’t it just pretend like it’s a monitor or TV for the Mac and then duplicate that input to all its outputs?
I love how you stick with what YOU dig and not the masses. I’m with you on a single monitor.. even when I had a dual setup it was just one more thing doing nothing on my desktop.
I do like that monitor hub thingy though..that’s gotta be pretty useful for a specific type of work.
How did you even get the LTT account?
old intel macbooks could have more than 2 displays
Whaaaaaaat, why on earth would something so expensive have such massive limitations.
Does this also apply to the M1 pro?
Just use a display link dock like every normal human being
Haha 😂 OMG
Honestly I don’t see a problem with it not supporting more than 2 monitors. TBH most people who are using a Mac with an M2 chip don’t need more than 1 extra monitor. They are usually just using it for web browsing and other basic tasks. And if you have 4 monitors that all run above 1080p I think you can afford a base Mac mini pro or MacBook Pro.
That's why I don't like Macs
Why does this need an app, usb c does not need an app
its biggest flaw is the color. bright flaming color surrounding what you're working with, creating subconscious mental bias. if you're occupation revolves around color with your computer, colorist, photographer, retoucher, and lots of mac users are of the professions above, good luck working with this shit.
if im paying 2k for a laptop, i shouldnt have to do this nonsense
bigger monitors > more monitors for sure tho
I now resort to using Sidecar, maximizing the use of my iPad for reading, and my Mac for editing.
Is it extend or miror?
If it’s a custom app, it’s most likely using Display Link from Synaptics. The thing about Synaptics software is, it’s dogshit, you’ll prefer using a dot matrix printer as an output in 3 months.
Wait, LTT????
or just get a real pc
Ok but my question is, why would you need more than 1 monitor at a time? Its not like you can stretch out anything on several monitors and the big bezels would make it look even worse, not talking about how much electricity it needs
Why is it that a midrange i5-9600 support 3 displays but the new main selling point of Apple computers can’t?
What about hardware acceleration?
Apple solution to everything buy a dongle 😂 that's why I will never buy Mac or dell
“In the new model you have to pay for something you could do before” The fans 😍
Ehh compromise had to be made
well i think they can have more than 2 displays but software is stoping us
Lmfao, 2014 USB 2.0 adapter called, here's your solution
Who uses 4 screen????? 😂
imagine using an apple cpu with the rtx 4090
It's crazy how Apple creates problems their competitors don't have and convince their fans it's something innovative
M2 Mac mini, 600$, supports up to 3
why not a display link usb c dock. it has its own display rendering technology and only needs a driver
You need a pc at this point
My gripe with the M2 Mini is that it has less USB-C/thunderbolt ports on the back and none on the front…
All Mac Minis should come with all the ports currently only on the Mac Studio.
DisplayLink is the answer!
