The Hyperledger Project was started in 2016, with the mission of “creat[ing] an enterprise grade, open source distributed ledger framework and code base, upon which users can build and run robust, industry-specific applications, platforms and hardware systems to support business transactions.” Since then, it has grown into a platform with numerous different blockchain projects, including Hyperledger Fabric, Hyperledger Iroha, and Hyperledger Sawtooth.
