HakByte: Catch Hackers in Your Wi-Fi With a $3 FTP Honeypot
In this episode, we set up a honeypot for Wi-Fi hackers using a single low-cost ESP8266 microcontroller. This honeypot looks like a router and actually provides an internet connection, all while hosting a vulnerable file server that looks like a tempting target for hackers. If a hacker tries to access the FTP server, it triggers an email alert, warning you that someone is accessing services they shouldn’t be touching.
