Ho to Setup Windows Servers FSMO Roles: How to Transfer Primary Active Directory FSMO Roles to Secondary Active Directory

How to transfer the primary domain controller (PDC) role to a secondary domain controller (SDC), you will need to transfer the five Flexible Single Master Operations (FSMO) roles to the SDC. The FSMO roles are:
• Schema Master
• Domain Naming Master (DNM)
• Primary Domain Controller (PDC) Emulator
• Infrastructure Master (RID Master)
• PDC Emulator Operations Master
To transfer the FSMO roles, you can use the Active Directory Domains and Trusts snap-in or the PowerShell cmdlets.
Using the Active Directory Domains and Trusts snap-in
1. Open the Active Directory Domains and Trusts snap-in.
2. Right-click on the domain name and select Operations Master.
3. For each FSMO role, click Change.
4. Select the SDC that you want to transfer the role to.
5. Click OK.
