  • honestly i've been using a se just to see how it runs and its pretty good honestly on ios 15 i just got the battery replaced and the phones running great

  • I did have the iPhone 6s but now I have the iPhone 12 pro

  • I still rock the iPad air 2 in 2023 😅 it served me good but it does need a new battery

  • I NEVER "upgrade" software. It is engineered obsolescence. The one time I did, the java patch I needed turned my computer into a doorstop. They can keep their useless "upgrades." It's not as if they tell us what they are or how to use them. There are no instruction manuals, and Apple wastes its Web site on pretty pictures instead of information.

    no stuttering

    but yeah it heats if you use while charging

    also I experience some lags if I use discord Instagram WhatsApp YouTube google while I’m in a VC in discord

    if I turn off discord the lag is fixed

    no issues except discord and for the discord VC thing I can use my mac or my iPad

  • I have an iPhone SE from 2016 and iOS 15 made it unusable. Let me clarify a little. Previously the phone would easily get me through a day of light use with a little gaming while on my break at work. I had to charge it every day but I never worried about running out. Then I updated to iOS15 and the phone actually runs the same as it did before but the battery drain is insane.

    Just sitting on my desk with airplane mode on and every connection feature turned off, the battery drained 60% in 8 hours, why? It's not doing anything. In contrast the iPhone 3GS I own in that same 8 hours lost less than 5% of battery life.

    Now in complete fairness here the battery health on the SE is at 89% but it was at 89% before I upgraded to iOS 15. So iOS 15 is doing something in the background that just kills battery life and I don't know what. I've even set up a shortcut to keep battery saving on but the drain persists. Neither the SE or the 3GS have had a battery replacement but the 3GS is far older. I've tried to rollback to iOS 14 but that's proven impossible for me.

    When it comes to Android though you are right that official support is shorter as a general rule but that is where the community steps in. The Galaxy SII for example has a Android 13 rom available for it, what's the iPhone of the same time stuck on?

  • I still use an iPad 4th Gen. The uses for it have been reduced to a painting tablet + e-reader device as of right now, but it's amazing that it works so seamlessly still.

  • Wow. They were also reusing the designs a bit back then, iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 4 looks almost the same but only just the rounded edges.

  • I have an iPad 5 from 2017 so it’s still treating me well on iPadOS 16.4 I believe I haven’t had no hiccups I recently restored it to start over again

  • Use iOS 6 or 5. The best of the best, always will be.

    I'm using my Huawei Nova 5T for it's 4th year still receiving OS updates

    Huawei also still updates devices from 2018
