  • This video (with the tidbits about glue records, what would happen without hardcoded zone records, etc) was so much more informative and well done than every other DNS video that spend 10 minutes with graphics to say absolutely nothing more than vaguely, "it's a hierarchy".

  • can i replace web site to dns address but I'm use browser showing This site can’t be reached?

  • Amazing video with great explanation, content like this is what makes me hit that subscribe and like button, not because the creator asked me to.
I really liked your explanation method where you first explain in simplicity the subject with an example (the section that ends at 4:20)
And afterwards you dive deep into the details of the query, which is also an important part.
Thank you for great content and keep it going 🔥🤟

  • I saw where I registered my domain name they ask for name server to point to (where I am hosting my website) but I couldn't understand why they ask for name server. Shouldn't they be asking for normal server that has the web page?.

  • Every once in a while you stumble upon pure gold on here.
    Thanks.

  • Thank you very much for this video. Very very useful. Please release many videos in these series. Please kindly explain in simple terms how the glue records or the additional section is configured.

  • Hi sir, one question, will the dns servers be shown in traceroute command ? Thanks

  • I hear you saying that DNS couldn't work without a known root server. Couldn't a machine ask its local router? I know a router is a lower level device, but modern routers are effectively computers.
