  • As a small YouTuber, just getting started in their journey this video helped allot! Thanks!

  • Chuck, you inspired me a year ago to start my channel. Thank you. I appreciated this entire video.

  • You can't get network engineers for editing/marketing prices. 50-70k for editing + 100k for IT background. = 160k a year employees…

  • Is there any way you could do timestamps for these longer livestreams?? Thanks! 😂

  • As an older self taught computer guy from back the 80's I struggle with the formal education process. I loath it. Ive always found content like this channel or back in the day tutorials on Usenet or in books and magazines, got me the actual information I NEEDED to know faster and easier.

I remember when I graduated high school in '89 I was looking at college curriculum and thinking either, I know this already or why would I waste money on a bunch of classes that are irrelevant or outdated. At that point the industry had already moved predominantly to C but they were requiring classes in Pascal and Fortran. Back then networking was an afterthought, all formal education focus was on programming. Top that off with, certification wasnt a thing yet, you had to go to college. Total waste of time and money, unless you were interested in programming history or knew nothing.

So I skipped formal education and wound up keeping it a hobby and occasionally doing freelance work and being a tech guru in the other industries I worked.

5 years ago a guy I worked with on a couple freelance projects begged to apply for a job where he worked. They needed experienced, competent employees, quick. The fact that I didn't have a formal education or certs was irrelevant, they knew I had the chops. 🎉

We'll over the years the department head changed a couple times and under the latest one I've plateued as he cares more about sheepskin than actual capability. Going back to get the paperwork now is just driving me crazy.

  • Let's be fair. AI probably has better grammar and writing skills than 95% of the junk we see in the feeds.

  • I would love to see your network layout, applications and etc. How do you run with your naming schem and other processes that is more to the IT side.

  • I would recommend posting these article threads that yall are referring too so we can check them out as well.

  • I have a really emotionally busy draining complex day today. I am very glad there are lawyers who know how to do reverse Boolean searches and tell me that some of the website stuff does not match up and then it was from somewhere else.

  • Chuck is slowly becoming ITProTV weekly podcast. We'll next be seeing a sponsor by Technado.

  • CCNA series any more videos left in that? I need that please. If possible make more on CCNA. You're videos are awesome.

  • 3:10 – If you're not doing anything… I'm building my own version of the internet, I named it WideSpread. Each SpreadAccount (user account, user === Spreader) comes with a physical server they can plug-in anywhere they want, plus it comes with their own unique SpreadLink (custom domain name .ws URL), which is the route to that Spreaders personal WideSpread server. If a Spreader unplugs/removes batteries, nothing is available to anyone, unless they want certain things always available, they can save whatever to a WideSpread database… I just started building v4.0 and I'd love to hear any thoughts on anyones approaches and thoughts on how they'd handle security for a new VR/AR + IoT + Decentralized 'Internet' functionalities built directly into a new operating system (SpreadOS). I need security for these 2 new game changing IoT devices, I just started v2.0 on both of those projects recently. This comment barely scratches the surface of describing what exactly WideSpread is…. but that's why I named it WideSpread, you can do and have anything at anytime from anywhere to anywhere at anytime for anything at your fingertips in 2D and in 3D AR/VR. You can also meld multiple realities into one (good for SocialSpread Experience Spreads (spread === post; SocialSpread > && != facebook). I have tons of documentation if anyone is interested in reading more just lmk.

  • Way to go Michaela!!!! (Sorry if I misspelled your name)

  • can u make another video about raspberry pi hacking gadgets?

  • Ooh boy, I really do hope this channel keeps on hosting podcasts occasionally, alongside regular content.

  • How do you stay in shape, as in not get fat, being a dad, family man, I.T. guy, and YouTuber ?
    😅

  • I missed the stream again?? 😭 YouTube notifications sucks

  • It's just a weird artefact popping a sorts of reflection 54:18
