• If you know how to do it you can also inspect element to make sure it doesn't redirect you or download WOT to see if it's safe this is why I use AVG because if it's not safe it will automatically block the website it's not always good to rely on Windows Defender and some virus protection is still good to have around I've hear using Avast is pretty good and even McAfee is changing there ways as well and they all block phishing sites please stop relying on just Windows Defender and recommend virus software for protection they don't physically do a deep scan on your computer.

• And folks, this is why you use a good ad-blocker such as uBlock Origin, uBlock Origin Lite, AdGuard, or a DNS-level content filter such as PiHole, AdGuard DNS, or NextDNS. So many of these online "advertisements" are really fake download buttons designed to deceive people into clicking the wrong link only to then get asked to install adware or junkware onto your computer. It is 2024, and malvertising such as what was shown in the video should not be existing in 2024. Anywho, please educate yourselves and protect yourselves with using an ad-blocker. These advertisers are corporate scumbags who are willing to put the security and privacy of their customers at risk just to make a quick buck. But I digress.

• I just always operate under the assumption that if something is free then YOU are the product

• I used ocean of games and I got a serious malware . Every time I open my laptop it runs a program taking 80 perncent of cpu usage and 2/3 gigs of ram. I also contacted ms support bcz my defender is not working and they were useless. Finally i gave avast antivirus a try and it immediately solved my problem and pinpointed the exact malware that was always running when i open my laptop
