00:00:00.710 — 00:00:04.980
In this video we’ll show you how to configure
your ProtonMail account in Apple Mail by using the Bridge app.

00:00:06.520 — 00:00:10.700
First you will need to log in with your ProtonMail
account in the Bridge app.

00:00:10.700 — 00:00:16.330
Click on the Add account button, enter your
username and password and click Next.

00:00:16.330 — 00:00:19.609
Your account will be displayed in the Bridge app.

00:00:19.609 — 00:00:25.680
Click on your account username in the Bridge
app to extend the option list and select Mailbox configuration.

00:00:26.300 — 00:00:29.320
You’ll see a pop-up window from Bridge displaying the IMAP/SMTP information.

00:00:31.900 — 00:00:36.500
At the bottom of the pop-up window, click
on the “Configure Apple Mail” button.

00:00:36.500 — 00:00:40.510
You’ll be prompted to install a new profile on your device.

00:00:40.510 — 00:00:43.320
Click on the “continue” button.

00:00:43.320 — 00:00:48.580
Here you can choose a display name for your
ProtonMail account and enter it in the Full Name field.

00:00:48.900 — 00:00:52.760
This is how your ProtonMail account will be
labeled in Apple Mail.

00:00:52.760 — 00:00:55.500
When you’re ready, click install.

00:00:56.200 — 00:01:00.160
Your account is now starting to load in Apple Mail.

00:01:00.160 — 00:01:04.880
Now let’s configure some additional settings from Apple Mail to make sure your account is working properly.

00:01:05.560 — 00:01:11.060
Open Apple Mail, go to Mail and Preferences…
and then select the General tab.

00:01:12.320 — 00:01:18.140
Under the General tab make sure that “check
for new messages” is selected as Every Minute.

00:01:18.830 — 00:01:24.740
Now go to the Junk Mail tab, and disable the
“Enable Junk mail filtering” option.

00:01:24.759 — 00:01:29.580
With this option disabled, you will rely only
on the ProtonMail spam filter.

00:01:29.580 — 00:01:34.380
However, if you’d prefer to do some additional
spam filtering yourself on your client,

00:01:34.380 — 00:01:37.000
you can leave this option turned on.

00:01:37.000 — 00:01:41.360
Once you’re done with these adjustments, your
account is ready to use in Apple Mail.

00:01:41.360 — 00:01:45.990
If you get stuck at any step, you can scroll
down below this video and follow the instructions.
