• what's the actual difference between the initial 2 modes of booting? i mean the usual one and the rescue-……. I just installed linux for 1st time and trying to learn every single feature i see from start. For example the 2 options for booting. If the 2nd is rly just a rescue option why it is same as the other (at least for me when i login). Is there any difference between priviledges for example, or anything?Thank you for your reply anyway

  Also my fs is corrupted.

• perfect!!!!!!!! had corrupt bashrc, whew allowed me to replace with olderone, was having issue logging in fedora

• Hi, what's the second boot option which has the word rescue in it? I am using fedora and the boot menu is similar with two options. I haven't tried this method of editing the first boot option but selected the second boot option but it didn't do anything special. So wondering what it's for. Also, in the official fedora docs, it says to boot in rescue mode boot from live USB or cd rom etc. What's the difference doing this way and the other way in fedora docs? https://docs-old.fedoraproject.org/en-US/Fedora/16/html/Installation_Guide/ap-rescuemode.html
