(make sure when installing windows 2000 server, its management in NTFS format otherwise packages are not install ‘dcpromo’ ).
#steps
1st
Install package using ‘dcpromo’ opt in run or command
step by step configure – e.g., forest, tree,ou,etc.
2nd
before installing ‘dcpromo’ first make a clone of it.
(this is because we can connect to this clone)
3rd
change the name of clone machine(because network has unique names & restart clone machine.)
4th
In Admin machine as well as clone –
change tcp/ip setting(Acc. to video)
and
check the connectivity by ‘ping’ command.
5th
In Admin Machine – (Acc. to video)
reverse zone – Add Alias and Pointer
forward zone – .(root) – Add host
6th
Go to clone machine – System Property – Network Identification – property – domain
(Acc. to video)
7th
check domain by command nslookup e.g., nslookup dpk.com
8th
In Admin Machine –
-Active directory user & computer
-Add user
– Active Directory
– Domain Controller
– Windows 2000 Server.
