  • This method broke my normal WiFi functions in Ubuntu. Now I have to undo this mess.BTW…this is Ad-Hoc not WiFi. I restored my adapter's normal functions (took less than 3 minutes), but that was annoying.

    One request, I would like to use the new wifi network as an extension of my main router AP. So, I want it to use the DHCP settings from my router (IP addresses are assigned by my main router) rather than creating its separate isolated network. Can you help?
