  • Hi Jay, I would definitively like a video about the benefits of Ubuntu Pro, as well as a short video of upgrading Ubuntu Server from 22.04 to 24.04, which in fact is not so complicated, but just to know if there are some hints or problems when doing so.   • No install on OpenZFS, so I'm not interested. I stick to the minimal install of the desktop on OpenZFS.

  • I painfully cobbled together my last LTS desktop to install on Raid 0 (for creative editing). Later I learned that Ubuntu Server includes this ability out of the box. Any chance you might make a video showing this, and then how to install the rest of the software to turn it in to Ubuntu Desktop?

  • Very timely, I was thinki of going the EL route, but the kernels there are ancient

  • If you encrypt the disk can you enter password remotely to decrypt it so it can boot? Since it is encrypted and not booted you can’t ssh unless it is booted already. So you would need console access to decrypt but I think I read there may be another utility you could install to decrypt disk before boot.
