How To Factory Reset HP Computer – Restore To Factory Settings – Using Windows 10
Use this video to show you 2 methods to Factory Reset your HP laptop. The 1st is from the Desktop and the 2nd is for when your computer cannot fully boot up to the Desktop. Feel free to ask questions or to review the FAQ’s below !!
If the factory reset does not work for some reason, then move on and try to install Windows new.

Q: Will this erase all my data?
A: If you perform the hard reset, yes. You an choose the other option which will not delete all your data but there is still a chance of loosing data you want to save. Best to always back up data first.
Q: It saying ‘insert your windows installation or recovery media to continue’
A: If you cannot Factory Reset, you will have to try a new install of Windows.

Q: I cant seem to access the startup recovery options by hitting F11
A: Hitting F11 for the Startup Recovery Options is usually only a step for older computers. Newer computers usually start up too fast to allow access to that. Can you not access Windows and reset from there? If not, what is happening when you try to start the computer? What would I slept in the windows part when it says, how would you like to reinstall windows? Should I select cloud download a local reinstall? I don’t have any idea how I’m going to install the windows on it.

So I just came from your video about what to do if no boot device is found when starting up and my quick test passed and I did everything in bios, my date and time were wrong so I fixed them and then I tried to boot in legacy mode because mine was automatically disabled. Then it came to a black screen that says no boot device found or disk error occurred. You said at the end of your video to come to this one but I can’t get past the black screen to factory reset and when I hit f11 it doesn’t take me to that screen it just takes me straight to the black screen again.
Is there anything I can do?

Hello, I have a spare HP laptop, It's about 5 years old, I went to use it but forgot my log-in PIN, it won't let me type letters in so the Pin i had written down won't work ( i wrote PC2 with a long password including letters numbers etc..
