If your system is asking you for your BitLocker recovery key, BitLocker likely ensured that a recovery key was safely backed up prior to activating protection. There are several places that your recovery key may be, depending on the choice that was made when activating BitLocker. This video is designed to help you find your BitLocker recovery key.
If you are unable to locate the BitLocker recovery key and can’t revert any configuration change that might have caused it to be required, you’ll need to reset your device using one of the Windows recovery options. Resetting your device will remove all of your files.

If recovery keys are that important and bit locker is turned on by default, you need to force user to login
or at least let user know if you disable secure boot you need your bit locker keys
i came to Microsoft after 4 years worst experience never gonna use it again
I tested Ubuntu on an external USB, decided I don't want to install, reboot and I can't login anymore. Microsoft basically ransomwared me.
You don't even send verification codes!!! If we can't get verification codes we can't get the key. Just trash

This is bullshit!! Absolute joke!!! So i have to lose all my files, all my game progress, documents and absolutely everything is completely gone because of some fucking shithouse security feature that they invented which they cant fix?!?!??!?! What i dont understand is why cant Microsoft make it so when you get a laptop, it gives you this fucking "bitlocker" key to save and keep for when this bullshit happens.
