In today’s video, I will show you the process of resolving black squares that may appear or occasionally appear on your computer screen. These occurrences could be attributed to GPU artifacting or corrupt system files. I will demonstrate in this video one of the more straightforward solutions to fixing this issue.

[TEXT-GUIDE]
[1] Search for “Check for updates” in the bottom left, click on it, and you will be directed to the “Windows Update” screen.
[2] Select “Check for updates” at the top, download any available updates, and restart your computer after completion.
[3] If that doesn’t work, open Command Prompt as an administrator.
[4] Copy and paste the following, then press enter:
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
[6] Once the progress bar reaches 100%, it will state “The restore operation completed successfully,” and below that, it will state “The operation completed successfully.”
[7] Once you see that, you’re going to want to copy and paste the next command:
sfc /scannow
[8] Press enter, and it will begin scanning your system for any corrupt files and repair them.
[9] Once it reaches 100%, it will either say “Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations” or “Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.”
[10] After completing that, restart your computer, and your issue with the black squares should be fixed.
