Hi, it’s HandyAndy Tech Tips here, and today I’m going to show you how to solve a problem with crackling, popping, or glitchy audio on Dell computers running Windows 8 or later (including Windows 10). Now the problem I was having, and you might be having this problem as well, is that the audio kind of glitches up every 30 seconds, which is really annoying, especially when you’re listening to music or something like that. So I eventually worked out how to solve it.

First, right click on your Start menu. Click Device Manager, and then this window will come up. Scroll down a bit, and, under the “System Devices” heading, there should be something called “Dell Diag Control Device”. What you want to do is right click on this and click “Disable”. Now your audio should be instantly improved; I didn’t even have to reboot for the audio glitches to go away on my PC.

So I hope you enjoyed this video; please like it if you liked it, dislike it if you disliked it, and subscribe to HandyAndy Tech Tips for more informative how-tos just like this one.
