How To Fix Pendrive if Windows was unable to format pendrive.
To format a usb pendrive when windows was unable to complete the format of pendrive or usb flash drive, then follow the following steps :

STEP 1 :

open cmd (As Administrator)

STEP 2 :
In CMD, run command ‘diskpart’

STEP 3 :
In diskpart, run ‘list disk’

check for your disk with that size of the pendrive, remember the numbering start with 0, so initially 0 is you hard drive on which OS is installed i.e. Windows.

Note your pendrive disk # i.e. disk 1 (in my case).

STEP 4 :

then , select that particular disk.
by typing : ‘select disk #’
where # is the numeric value of disk

STEP 5 :
type ‘clean’ to clean the disk.

STEP 6 :
run ‘ create partition primary’
to create a partition of type primary

STEP 7 :
make the partition active by simply typing :

active

STEP 8 :
then format through the diskpart by typing :

format fs=fat32

it may take several minutes depending on processing power of system.

STEP 9 : then at last type ‘ exit ‘ to close the diskpart

STEP 10 : type ‘explore’ in cmd and check your pen drive it is accessible and able to format , can do so by trying quick format.
