• Here is another way to do it, 1. Go to task bar where the icon was. 2. Click the arrow pointing up, 3 click arrow. 4 find the icon that is used for wifi and drag it to the right of the arrow back onto the taskbar

• On Windows 10 I solved the issue by clicking on the Networks Icon in the hidden Icons dropdown and simply clicking and dragging it onto the Taskbar.
