  • had an issue where my mouse pointer lags behind my mouse movement irl, it seems to get worse in textured areas in games and goes away in open fields, it also happens on the desktop when there’s loads of google chrome windows open (around 6-7) cpu and memory caps out at 30% and 10% so im unsure what the problem is if its fluctuating….

  • mine doesnt lag it acts like it smoked crack

  • mine jumps around from a virus i feel, whats a good free antivirus for win 10?

  • I fixed it…..I have 2 monitors, 1 with DVI and 1 with HDMI. Unplugged the DVI and problem fixed.

  • my mouse click doesnt click sometimes

  • I was reading a thread on a forum that said that a loose monitor cable could also cause the stuttering. I had just updated my GPU and my monitors wouldn't turn back on so I had unplugged them and plugged them back in. After that my mouse was stuttering so I thought it was a driver issue. After cycling through several drivers and videos with fixes I stumbled across that thread. Check you cables people! Sometimes it's that simple!

  • i just got a new one and it still lags with it wired:(

  • En mi caso devolví el controlador de la tarjeta gráfica a la versión original y eso solucionó el problema. Laptop HP Amd.

  • That was awesome. It seems obvious but I never thought on clenining the laser. I think that did the trick. Thanks for the tip. I really liked the way you explain everything.

  • I've updated all of my drivers, my mouse is the Steelseries Rival 3 Optical Mouse. However, my mouse has been stuttering for the passed 8 hours. By stuttering, I mean the cursor is popping in and out rapidly. This makes it so that in games such as "osu!" and some other aiming games, my sensitivity seems very slow. I've tried to increase my sensitivity in the games but the mouse cursor seems very shaky although I haven't moved the mouse.

  • UGH! My problem is WORSE after adjusting a few things.
My Logitech G602 mouse resets constantly (every second practically) instead of every minute or so now. Actually, it alternates from constantly to often and I feel like it may be app related or possible Logitech Gaming Software related. It's so hard to tell and it's driving bonkers. I have Alienware Aurora.

It's only while I move it!

    Two questions:
    1) Which link do I click to try the Realtek option.
    2) Will upgrading to Win 11 solve the problem?

    Thanks!

  • ive had this problem about a month ago until i reset my pc. it seemed to fix it for a while until it started happening again for some reason. i dont want to have to restart my computer again, does anyone know what to do?

  • Need help , when I used the amd a-series a8-9600 apu on msi b350 mortar arctic motherboard my mouse courser is fine in bios when I installed the 3900x however ,it's slow in bios, don't know why , I don't have windows installed yet as I'm waiting to still build the rest of pc , thnx in advance for any and all help

  • Just had to re insert my 2nd monitors hdmi and…Bingo

  • I have a dell laptop, and my mouse (Logitech MX3) is installed with blue-tooth. I uninstalled Logitech software and uninstalled the mouse from the blue-tooth. Then I re-connected the mouse with the blue-tooth first, and then downloaded and re-installed Logitech software, and it seems to have fixed the issue. Hopefully it doesn't come back.

  • I just installed a fresh copy of windows 10 and the dreaded mouse lag has began 🥺

  • How do i fix my mouse, it doesnt move its stuck in the search bar

  • incredibly "scroll inactive window when i hover them" have helped fixing half of the mouse stuttering

  • I got this problem since today, after putting in an extra 8GB Ram inside my laptop.. And the lag is only visible on my 2nd monitor, which is directly input into an external gpu, any ideas ?

  • if none of these fix it for you for me i adjusted the speed of my mouse by turning the dpi up

  • You always have the option to reinstall Windows. You'd 'you always have the option to trash Windows'.

  • My mouse sensitive feels so slow even on desktop and when offline gaming then in about a week later it feels fast and responsive it keeps doing this and i don't enjoy my gaming experience So i built and brand new pc with the 3080 and 5600x CPU with the 16meg of 3600htz ram running on the x570 tomahawk motherboard and it's doing exactly the same with my old pc i always have to put my sensitivity on full in game mouse options and even my mouse pointer in windows 10 can some one tell me why it does this and then about a week or 2 later it feels so fast and responsive i can then enjoy my games offline and even online but it only last about a week then it go's back to being so sluggish again then have to wait for it to go back to being fast i don't understand what is doing this. I have tried everything even tips and fix's on YouTube but they don't work for me it like i have to wait for my pc to tell me when i can game on it and not when i want to game i am getting bored because i cant game on my pc. I am waiting for it to feels fast so i can eventually start gaming again. My mouse is a Logitech g402 and even tried the software dpi but it don't do any thing to solve my issues. All i can say is it feels slow and laggey or sluggish when trying to move the mouse or even aiming in games i am just so fed up with it all i thought building a new pc would sort this out as my other pc was over 6 years old and needed a new one.

  • I have done all of these and several I have found elsewhere on the web. I have reloaded windows. I have updated the BIOS. I have even taken it to a computer repair shop and they didn't get it fixed. I have purchased new 4 different mouses. and the computer is less than 6 months old – – – – HELP Is there any other ideas out there? I AM NOT a computer person. I just know how to turn on the power and get to work. I am lost. Is there a program or software that I can download that will repair it?

  • Thought I would add another solution I have had a bit of trouble with severer mouse lag for the last couple of days tried all solutions and nothing seemed to work for me.
Even thought I would have to reset my entire pc which I wasn't happy about. I have my pc connected to a tv set and realised the lag happened more when I turned to a tv channel to watch anything. So I just wobbled the HDMI cable and the mouse lag seems to have been sorted.
Didn't know that a loose HDMI could have been what was causing it but thought I mention it to help anyone else having this problem.

  • None of these did the trick and it’s not terrible it’s just enough to irritate the hell out of you

  • how do i fix a problem that makes my mouse move verd whenever i move it to fast

  • I'm using a Lenovo G50-80 and I recently replaced the whole case. Now the cursor freezes, sometimes it works fine and it's annoying. Help me fix me, please.

  • omg. ok so litterally none of this worked. but as i was shutting down everything i noticed my background changed (it's a slideshow…… and i think you all have the same) and it did the same stutter thing.

so just for fun i selected a single image and set it as background instead. and BAM it completely vanished.
i think my slideshow folder was just getting way and way too big. (570 files)
it's like it was keeping the whole folder buffered or something
