How to fix your OMC MAC address, if you didn't take QPST backup before unlocking

How to fix your OMC MAC address, if you didn’t take QPST backup before unlocking:

Here you will see the Orange Monte Carlo being restored to TPT (Total Phone Transfer), which replaces the whole OS & partitions with STOCK Orange UK firmware. Download this file here:

1/ Next, create a folder named “image” (lower case) on the ROOT of microSD in your phone, then extract the “image.bin” from the ZIP you downloaded above, and place it *inside* the folder named “image”, located @ ROOT of your microSD card.

2/ Making sure anything you need is backed up with ClockworkMod etc (a backup of your current running ROM may be an idea!), power down the Monte Carlo

3/ Hold down Volume UP + Menu (middle key under screen) + power. TPT will be a black screen with a green progress bar – your firmware is being replaced, and it will reboot afterwards.

4/ After the first reboot, power down, and then hold down Volume Down + Power, to enter “FTM mode” which is a white box on a black screen, with “FTM” inside the white box.

5/ Open QPST, as shown in the video, and save a backup of your NVITEMS, which you will then hex-edit as shown, and write back to the Monte Carlo (Restore tab, in QPST – you’ll see all this in the video!)

This method works! It has been verified by numerous members of MoDaCo forums, and you can see this here:
