How to Insert Line Break in Excel – Excel Tips and Tricks

Learn how to insert line break in Excel. Essentially, how to insert a new line in Excel. That is, split multiple lines in a cell.

Note that, on the keyboard, pressing Ctrl + J will enter a line break character.

Here are the steps.
1) Select all rows.
2) Ctrl + H
3) “Find what” set to comma (,)
4) “Replace with” press Ctrl + J
5) Replace All
6) OK
7) Close
8) Home — Alignment — Wrap Text (toggle it twice)

  • But the standard for US deliveries has the City, State and postal code on the same line.

  • Didn't know about Ctrl+J however to forget improve, replace ", " not just the comma
