How to Install CentOS 7 in VirtualBox

DOWNLOAD THE ISO FILE
1. Navigate the directory

2. Click: USA: HTTP://archive.kernel.org/centos-vault

|_ x86_64
|_ CentOS-7-x86_64-DVD-1804.iso
3. Download and save the iso file.

LOAD CENTOS 7 IMAGE (ISO) IN VIRTUALBOX
1. Open your VirtualBox Application
2. Click the three-lined icon beside the Tools in the top left part of the VirtualBox application.
3. Click “Media”, then click “Add”.
4. Find your ISO file and open it.

INSTALL CENTOS 7 IMAGE (ISO) IN VIRTUALBOX
1. Click the three-lined icon beside the Tools in the top left part of the VirtualBox application.
2. Choose “Welcome”
3. Click “New” on the menu.
4. Fill in the following with the window that pops up.
– Name: CentOS 7
– Type: Linux
– Version: Red Hat (64-bit)
5. When you are done, click “Create”.
6. Set the File size to at least 4.00 GB.
7. Leave the defaults such as (VDI and Dynamically allocated), click “Create”.

START YOUR CENTOS 7 ENVIRONMENT
1. Click “Start” in the menu.
2. Choose the ISO file and click “Start”.
3. Adjust your screen with Scaled Mode, and click “Switch”.

INSIDE THE CENTOS 7 ENVIRONMENT
1. Click “Install CentOS 7”.
2. Choose “English”.
3. Choose “Installation Destination” (use Tabs if you couldn’t navigate).
4. Choose “ATA VBOX HARDDISK” (the default), then “Done”.
5. Click “Begin Installation”.
6. Choose “Root Password”, add your password, then “Done”.
7. Choose “User Creation”, add your Full name and user name, “Done”.
8. Click “Reboot”.

BOOTING THE CENTOS 7
1. Choose “CentOS Linux” (note: not the rescue).
2. You’ll be prompted with “localhost login: ”
3. Enter your username and password.
