  • I would have never have figured this out (complete Linux noob). Thank you so much for your help. The steps for "academic use" are a little different at the very end of your tutorial, but I am sure everyone can figure those out. Thanks again!

  • I did everything in this tutorial with no issue. However, when I enter "matlab" into the terminal I get "command not found".

  • I keep getting “command not found” everytime I enter my passcode after entering root

  • So helpful…. thank you!!!

  • On the xhost command, I am getting , "No protocol specified
xhost: unable to open display ":11.0"". After that on sudo ./install, I am getting, "No protocol specified
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'framework::window::DisplayError'
    what(): No display available.
    Aborted
    "

  • I installed the Matlab R2022a version and that "Product Dependencies" tab didn't appear after I click NEXT at "Products" section, there shouldn't be any problems later on right?

  • is this only a free trial or will it last forever?

  • Fantastic in 2022 worked just fine!
    thank you sir!

  • Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Can not install it, I'm losing internet connection for a while after every single try.

  • Hi Phil!
Thanks for the amazing video. Very easy to understand and follow.
I followed all of your steps and executed them effortlessly.
Although after activation, when I try to launch Matlab thru terminal(like you showed in the video), I am simply not able to launch it. Do you think you could give a suggestion?
    It will be really helpful.
the error i see in Terminal : "Command not found"

I have installed Matlab not in my file systems folder but in my Documents folder~
