  • Thank you so much! I use OpenSUSE Tumbleweed. I installed mysql using Oracle's SLES repo. It generates random temporary password. It doesn't let me run any other commands without changing the password. It told me to use ALTER USER command but it didn't work. sudo mysql_secure_installation worked. Thanks

  • I'm using parrot os and after typing the install command, i'm being told that it has no installation candidate

  • Hi
How we can upgrade MySQL.jar from 5.7 to 8.0 MySQL version?

  • hello sir itried installing it but it is showing me error
… Failed! Error: SET PASSWORD has no significance for user 'root'@'localhost' as the authentication method used doesn't store authentication data in the MySQL server. Please consider using ALTER USER instead if you want to change authentication parameters.

  • ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)
when I tried using sudo command. This popped up. Any workarounds?

  • I did MEDIUM password as '12345678'. I've got ERROR 1698 like it's wrong password. What did I wrong? mysql version is 8.0.27, Linux mint. Thanks!

  • I am getting error bro 😭
'install : missing destination file operand after mysql-server' please provide me a solution 🙏
