I've tried to get it working a couple of times for my home systems, but have so far not met with success 😔
I'm a brand new Linux user. I tried Ubuntu 24.04 yesterday. The icons were all massive so I changed the scaling from 200% to 100%. It left a black box underneath the window I had open and some flickering effects on screen. I eventually managed to clear the graphical glitches and then tried to install Chrome browser. It wasn't found in the app store and when I tried downloading and running the Deb file from the official site I was left staring at a whole load of files. I don't think Linux is for me if this is what I have to put up with 😢

The upgrade was a total failure for me. I had to do a clean install.
My experience installing Ubuntu 24.04 on Virtualbox is beurk. Less than minute after login in, it make Virtualbox crash every time. I did not have the intention of installing it right away, but testing is now kind of impossible. i am keeping Ubuntu 23.10 until the end of it's cycle.
