How to Install Ubuntu Linux on a Chromebook

In this video I show how I was able to install Ubuntu Linux on a Samsung Chromebook. This will allow you to run Ubuntu Linux on your Chromebook and keep a version of ChromeOS.

****Keep in mind if you are going to install Linux on your chromebook and expect it to run games, it is not likely to work very well. What do you expect for such a low price “computer”, it doesn’t have a dedicated graphics card nor a lot of ram. Try this if you like hacking around playing with an OS.

These are the command lines I used in the video:
sudo sh -e ~/Downloads/crouton -r list (lists the linux builds)
sudo sh -e ~/Downloads/crouton -t help (lists the linux desktop interfaces)
sudo sh -e ~/Downloads/crouton -r trusty -t lxde (installs the build and desktop interfaces)
sudo startlxde
