How to Install Waydroid on Ubuntu 22.04 Jammy Jellyfish | Do you want to Install Waydroid on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS ? Do you want to run Android on Ubuntu 22.04 ? Waydroid is a container-based approach to boot a full Android system on a regular GNU/Linux system like Ubuntu. Waydroid uses Linux namespaces (user, pid, uts, net, mount, ipc) to run a full Android system in a container and provide Android applications on any GNU/Linux-based platform (arm, arm64, x86, x86_64). The Android system inside the container has direct access to needed hardware through LXC and the binder interface.

ERROR: <urlopen error TLS/SSL connection has been closed (EOF) (_ssl.c:997)>

Do you know how to solve it? Thanks! !

  • the browser keeps crashing and i it doesn't connect to the internet

  • Does not work:
The following packages have unmet dependencies.
    python3-gbinder : Depends: python3 (< 3.9) but 3.10.4-0ubuntu2 is to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

  • do you know how to configure "adb connect ip-waydroid" ?
So far I haven't been able to get it to work.

  • Very informative and easy to follow guide, also i have a question how to enable libhoudini?

  • Thanks for trying but the script fails in a funny way:

You're using """amd64""" machine, currently waydroid repo only provides deb packages for """""amd64""""" and arm64 machine.
    wtf? xD

  • in pop os modprobe: FATAL: Module binder_linux not found in directory /lib/modules/5.17.5-76051705-generic

(009117) [11:37:18] Failed to add service waydroidusermonitor: -1

  • everything working smoothly but there is no Internet connection.. cannot switch on the WiFi

  • The script failed :
    Reading package lists… Done
E: Unsupported file ../*.deb given on commandline
    Reading package lists… Done
    Building dependency tree… Done
    Reading state information… Done
E: Unable to locate package gbinder-python-build-deps
E: Unable to locate package libgbinder-dev

And that is because the repo for gbinder doesn;t provide packages for AARCH64 which waydroid supports!!!
