• I mean, Ubuntu now practically looks the same as macOS, just change the icons and you are good. But, The window animations don’t exist on Mac, not only are they ugly and dizzying, but they also consume a lot of resources. The dash where windows are displayed side by side doesn’t exist on Mac either, it’s only a presentation of TimeMachine when you want to recover a backup. The rest is integrated into Ubuntu. The real issue is with having shortcuts on the desktop, previewing icons quickly with the space bar, integrating the file system into the cloud (I managed it with MEGA), being able to have customizable icons, meaning changing the image of an icon, being able to move files to the trash by dragging them, showing window and application content in the top right corner (file, view, edit, etc.), configuring the mouse for use with Exposé and the dash, automatic package installer and automatic updater, malware protection and prevention of unauthorized program execution, and having the calendar app on the dashboard update to the current date instead of just being a static image that says “February 14.” Obviously, there are many more tweaks and major details that make a big difference in the use of the system, no sh! Why linux is one of the less used SO despite beeing free
