  • Hi, does anyone know how to break on MacOS using Packet Tracer? I've tried (Ctrl + C, Ctrl + Shift + C, Cmd + C) nothing works.
I also haven't seen the setting to see the keyboard shortcut mappings and how change a certain shortcut. This is making me go insane. Can anyone please help? Thank you.

    Break key, on windows

    CTRL + C

This should work fine, I was struggling with that too.

  • What if I'm opening someone's packet tracer file, there's no admin PC and I need to get the password for a switch?

    Invalid Key: 001A
Launch BIOS Extension to setup ROMMON

    Platform ASA5510
    Management0/0
    Ethernet auto negotiation timed out.
Interface-4 Link Not Established (check cable).
    Default Interface number-4 Not Up

    rommon #0>"
How can I save the config and go forward to change password?

  • Great video. Please be aware that you don't need a PC to do this in Cisco Packet tracer as you can power off the router from Physical Device View and use the CLI.

  • I set line console as login local i'm fucked and didnt run copy start

  • Greetings, one question, Does it work with Cisco 3650 SW?

  • There is a much easier way to get in…. cause PacketTracer knows its own passwords 😛
Just click on the router, go to config, click "save conf" and it will log you in with the right password.
After goin back to the cli, you will see that you are in the privileged mode. 🙂

  • omg you saved my whole semester <3 ty so much

  • why do we have to go to rommon mode when we can change config-register in global configuration mode, anyway?

  • control break! ? break your control key lol.

  • What is break on Windows 8.1? I've tried Ctrl+Shift+F6+C, Ctrl+Break, Ctrl+C, Ctrl+Shift+6+X and none of them works.

  • I see a lot of people asking about the Break key on the laptop's keyboard, I'm using Dell latitude laptop with windows 10, and I pressed, FN+CTRL+PAUSE/INSERT. try this.

  • thank you for all your videos they are very helpful.
