In this video, I walk you through the steps to reinstall Windows 10 on your laptop or desktop without losing any of your apps, data, or files. Open a browser and enter “Windows media creation tool” and click on the Windows link. Under “Create Windows 10 Installation Media” click on Download and then open the file when it has finished downloading and then run it. Click on Change What To Keep and ensure that “Keep personal files and apps” is selected. Then click on install.

  • be careful, for me it later caused a neverending blue screen of death (bad system configuration)

  • opted to cleanup 10 with system file checker will try later on cloned disk, then onto windows 11 on cloned at a later date….

  • Hi man …I have a dual boot system with win 7 and win 10 each OS is on different drives windows 10 and 7 are mentioned on the boot screen and did work …untill the latest windows 10 update … Yes I'm blaming the update as it was working perfectly before anyway…. When clicking on win 10 it seems to work with the dots going round in a circle then ..I get a blank screen …all seems ok with the pc as all fans lights and blinking hd lights are going but ..just a black screen …I've left this for around 2hrs in the hope that something happens but no nothing did ……. So I tried all the usaul safe mode stuff and still nothing …I've heard of a way using the windows creation tool to fix an already installed win 10 without losing all my programs and files ..but I'm not a tech savvy person ..any hint on this issue would be extremely appreciated…thank you
