  • Some youtubers tell people to just reinstall Windows clean which is a huge joke

  • Does this process produce the same results as running the DISM SFC process?

  • Saved to my PC Videos. Thank you for another great & help full video.

  • 2:01 It’s looking like very bad judgment on Microsoft’s part to release Windows 11 with all these bugs in in starting with that blue colored toilet paper image for its startup image. Someone at Microsoft must have had COVID-19 as inspiration for that image. Imagine have a roll of blue colored toilet paper and throwing it up in the air and it unrolls on it’s way down and that image is what you get. For Windows 10 users, it might be worthwhile to spend the money on extensions for 3 more years and jump to Windows 12 hoping that, that system will work better.

  • Brian, does this process produce the same results as running the DISM SFC process?

  • Hello, can you do a video on how to fix "SystemSettingsBroker.exe" error event id 1000 on in windows 10. Thank you.

  • I wish I knew this yesterday, I wouldn't have gone through resetting this thing. live and learn I guess.

  • Does it work if my windows version is Windows 11 Pro Version: Dev OS Build 21996.1?
It’s a Windows Insider Program version, I want to change it to 22h2 version but I’m not sure I can do that, please help

  • Repairing Windows 11 is easy: format HDD; insert Linux bootable usb drive; Install Linux. Optional: send Bill Gate$ an empty e-mail with the letters "F" and "U" in the subject.

  • Now is the time to extend your rollback from 10 days to 60 days. In case you are worst off.

  • Windows security has found Trojan Virus randomly in a file, but the option to remove it does not work. It says that it is active, I tried other free antivirus softwares but they didn't found anything.

  • I thought Microsoft did away with the ability to do a repair install after XP, or did they just remove the option to do it from boot media?

  • … Used to use that for Windows 95 and '98… It was a lot easier back then…

  • Besides preserving progs & files, does it preserve all your settings (start menu, Taskbar etc)? ??? SFC – DISM – Restore points ??? Of course the best answer is periodic backups.
    Thanx Brian 👍👍👍

  • In place upgrade can be useful, but not if something about the system is clearly broken.

On an older install I messed with the WindowsApp folder and there is literally no way to write any data in there, even with taking permissions and ownership, at most you can delete, and never restore. In place upgrade didn't fix the issue. Had to complete reinstall.

  • Is this how to do the Altus 4.8.6 Windows 11 update, I haven't done it because I was a little frightened it was going to overhaul my system

  • Can you show us using a linux disk how to back up the windows folder just incase it screws up programs we have installed? A friend a long time ago showed me how to do this but since forgotten, if you think something might screw the system up, make a copy of the whole windows folder first using a linux disk. Then try what you have done here, if it did not fix the issue, you could delete the new windows folder and put the old folder back on to be back where you started and try something else.

  • Hi would you do a video on motherboard that run windows 11 and what CPU. that will run windows 11 plz as I want to bye a motherboard to run windows 11.

  • I also agree that the default Windows Recovery is a big mess. From my personal experience repairing Windows computers, I often find that problems MAY lie under our own very nose. So here is the procedure I personally follow:

    A. Download Bleachbit portable edition

    Restart in Safe Mode
    Run Bleachbit
    Run Disk Cleanup
Delete files in the %temp% folder
    From CMD run:
    Chkdsk C: /f

    Then do a Normal Startup

    B. If this did not fix the problem

I download a French AV program called Adlice RogueKiller as it offers a Portable option. I also download the file containing the latest updates and perform a Quick Scan. One can also run a Full Scan whilst in Safe Mode… Totally optional.

    C. If the above fail, my last attempt to quickly fixing a Windows computer are the SFC & DISM commands

Edit: I also carry a pen drive with Bleachbit Portable, Adlice RogueKiller Portable & the latest Signature Database

  • Can i do this to put windows on a new hard drive

  • what if windows is not booting anymore ? there is no fix for that !

  • It doesn't work all the time. Sometimes a clean install is the only way.

  • everytime i boot my mouse loses right click..and strangely cant use the mouse and touchpad same time..dell inspiron 3421??? advice!thank you merry Christmas

  • Nice to know this, had a problem with Win-11 awhile back and used the reset options which did work but this way would have been alot better, Thankyou Brian

  • A good video Brian and just as a matter of interest I remember once you saying that you need to download the same language version as was installed in the first pace or else the installation will not go ahead? The other thing is that I did delete the Windows old file/folder but found that it still appears in the listings of what I have on my laptop is this normal or what? Anyway I am still a great fan of your videos mate from the days of Windows 7 – keep them coming they make my day😉

  • A couple of quick questions, Im removing MCafee(Not needed really). Going to use Defender instead. Defender has picked up VirTool:Win32/TamperRestoreDefender trojan. Mcafee did not. However Defender takes no actions to remove it and I cant remove it. If I did this what this video suggest could it possibly fix this problem?

  • so far i am not finding 11 too bad. just the normal niggles about the start menu plus i do not like the changes to the taskbar icons for open windows not being a fixed width like in they were before.

  • please make a video regarding unable too boot into windows.. so how it can be repaird

  • The reset option is great if you are going to sell your computer, or return it for a refund from a manufacturer, as I have just done.

  • And what if you made changes to the Registry? Do you have to do them again after doing this? Or not?

  • I have done this a couple of times and it does work as you say Brian, I learned this from you a few years back thank you.

  • Will the Regback folder be empty?

  • DVD DL With Windows 11 Pro for Workstations can created only by downloading ISO from Microsoft? As i have tried, Media Creation tool 🔧iso create windows 11 has not option for Workstations…

  • Thank you Brian!! Keep going!!.
Do not listen to the fools in the comments

  • Nice to know some options other than reset. All my windows units are imaged frequently. I use redo, and sometimes clone, zilla, noting that in the image description recently. I had a windows 10 unit go through a Windows upgrade, and completely corrupted, the solid-state drive (boot drive not found). Used redo to partition, format, restored and within an hour, I was up and running again.
