• Open with does not offer the Windows Photo Viewer. The only "exe" in that folder is "ImagingDevices.exe" and then it asks other questions about devices??? I tried the registry thing, and it did NOTHING. The key is there, but nothing changed. Developers must love the chaos they cause

• the problem with the photo app is that it has many bugs, like showing the same photo twice while there is not a duplicate in the folder. Sometimes a picture isn't viewed depending on which photo you open first, it's a mess lol.

• windows update sucks it won't even upload my android gallery for photos. keeps asking me to use icloud, I don't want that. maybe i should buy an apple computer. whatchu think?

  I merged various reg files from different websites, and I also did your method 3. However Photo viewer still did not restore, and it's not on the list of 'open with'. I am on Windows 10 Pro 22H2. Do you have any other suggestions

• This is not the same app, as it doesn't have the controls down at the bottom of the window to go left or right. The arrow keys work again, but yeah, this is not hte Windows 7 photo viewer. Worse, it seems to have no G.D. Windows Title Bar. WTF. Does someone know how to actually restore the real Windows 7 Photoviewer extracted from WIndows 7.

• Awesome! Having finally being basically forced to upgrade from the best Windows OS ever (Win7), I have found loads that make my workflow take a dive. Spent a week trying to get it to look similar via programs and reg hacks but this is one of those little things that I missed having on the right-click menu until I found your video, so thanks for taking the time to explain how to get it back.

• good job on totally USELESS video, where do i download the files from? you assume everyone is a total noob. i have physically DELETED the photo viewer. none of those commands help, because photo viewer does not exist in my PC. i have also deleted windows store, it doesn't exist.

  i've been googling for hours and they all bla bla the same nonsense about some commands and registry edits .. how does that help if I DO NOT HAVE THE FILES?
