How to Trace Someone's IP Address / Track down Cyber Bullies
Tracing IP address of someone when you get bullied or getting threats online isn’t that tough.
Recently I got a message from a lady that
Someone is sending her nonsense messages on Facebook, she tried blocking him but he created another Facebook profile and threatening her and she wanted to track him.
Now follow these steps to track someone’s IP location
This method has 3 steps –
1. Creating a free blog on WordPress.
2. Installing tracking code.
3. Tracing their IP address and location (City, State, Country)
If you have any blog then you just need to install tracking code, if it is free WordPress blog then you need to install Non-javascript tracking code. If you have self-hosted blog then install the Clicky plugin.
1. Creating a blog-
Go to WordPress.com and create an account there.
Create a new post and publish it.
2. Installing tracking code-
Go to Clicky.com and register with them.
Find the tracking code and add it into a text widget in WordPress blog.
3. Tracing IP-
Send your post URL to that person
Go to click and “Spy” Tab
As soon they will open that link you will get their IP and other information.
Now go to iplocation.net and search that IP address.
