How to Use BootP to Set IP Address in CompactLogix

McNaughton-McKay’s Auston Davidson, shows you how to configure the IP address of your CompactLogix PLC using the BootP DHCP Utility. The configuration can be completed by using your computer, PLC’s Ethernet port, and an Ethernet cable. The procedure is available for all Ethernet capable Allen Bradley PLCs with BOOTP enabled.
