  • Easy way to remember this. Write down 1 eight times on a sheet of paper. Then write 128, 64, 32, 16, 8, 4, 2, 1 under each number 1. Simple.

  • binary is a system of numbers only containing 1, and 0. How it works is each place value (like the digit system we all know) each value is the number times 2 to the approiate exponent. Say we have the number 1001 it would equal 1*(2^3)+0*(2^2)+0*(2^1)+1*(2^0)=9.

    The longer you go each place value to the left goes up by 2 times.
