• I suppose sometimes experience can get in the way of logical fault finding. Taking short cuts sometimes makes things take longer. MAYBE (not definitely) the fault was that third FET was shorted gate to source all along?

• Tough couple of days involving AC chips for Sorin.

• VDDP is the internal LDO and it should always be 5V ift should not drop below 2.7v and chip was shorted because on pin 16 and 17 is VIN so if your probe touch pin 17 and 18 it will pass 19 volts to pin 18 where it suppose to have 5 only. Also check pin 13 ADPS. Which is ACPRES pin in BQ directly coming from VIN through 2 resistors as a voltage divider pin 8 is VDDP should be 5v which is drive high side and low mosfet gates.

  It can be a simple HTML table (Battery model, Positive, Negative, Clock, Data columns or may be a database LiteSQL/MySQL/MariaDB as backend).

• I think one mosfets was shorted and the chip sense short and not drive power . The rest is story . Always check mosfets , voltage drop on gates etc. I love sorin work

• Dear Sorin, this is the kind of failure that I receive very frequently in my workshop, in addition to having to deal with machines that have already been through other places, where they add more failures than the machine originally had. It also happens that due to the number of hours of work, the accumulated fatigue does not allow us to have the necessary mental freshness. I appreciate your channel which accompanies me in my daily task. To make matters worse, the manufacturers do everything they can to make repairs difficult and prevent them, not to mention the apple company. There were times when tube televisions and radios came with a detailed circuit, adjustment and repair manual. Everything has changed and we must fight for the right to repair.

• The battery analyzer always showing 17 cycle can it be wrong ,because in last 3 videos always showing 17 cycle exactly.

• 14:43 as my vision there was a solder bridge under the chip.
