• Both the original God of War and God of War 2 were on that website. Sony refuses to put God of War 1 and 2 on PS4 and they remastered them, but only on PS3, and it doesn't work for PS4. They then turn around and remaster God of War 3, reboot God of War and make a sequal to that reboot, but still no og God of War 1 or 2. Time to emulate!

• Really saddened by the news smh.. I checked the vault earlier and yup, pretty much all of the notable Nintendo games(and many more) are gone. Luckily, I was able to still download Luigi’s Mansion for some reason, but that was about it.. 😞

• This DMCA of Vimm's lair is very bad. We have got our first take down of Sonic ROMs from SEGA (maybe they will start taking down sonic fan projects in the next few weeks), and our first WiiWare takedowns. and you just thought only Nintendo can do DMCAs to Vimm's Lair? SIKE! SEGA (as proven on top), Lego, and the ESA (proven with the wiiware takedowns as i saw megaman 9 be taken down) can do DMCAs as well. i am very worried that SEGA, Lego, and the ESA (and maybe other gaming companies) will find Nintendo a Role Model and take down fan projects and ROMs as well.

  If you know a rom site, don't talk about it online because popularity results in takedowns and more games are dying because of it.

• Looks like the golden age of emulation is coming to the end soon. Technology advanced but corporations gotten worse and worse each year. Getting rid of good stuff and then blaming us for doing good things. I miss the old days where no such DMCAs happened before.

• I suspect that Nintendo is gearing up to expand further into the mobile market by possibly bringing the NSO retro game rental service to mobile devices in the future, so they might be trying to crackdown and clean house in advance so normies will pay for that instead of just emulating pirated games on their phones/tablets with a third-party emulator for free.

• I'm really sad this happened to Vimm's Lair. All their hardwork went to nothing. Nintendo shouldn't have done that. Now, there are online sellers of their games, who are reaping the fruits of other's labor, and i mean the labor that ROMsites did, for money. 🤦
