I’m confused at to what password am i using am i using my root pw for Linux or for beEF ?? I’ve tried both and they don’t work i never set up a ssh root password ! And I’ve tried everything i remember and they’ve all been denied.

You have few worries if you run a virtual machine and reset it after each use. Also, don't log in anywhere while in a virtual machine.
