Well guys we fired off the Sick Summer “drag n drive” with a GREAT run, but that quickly came to a hard stop. Mullet gathered up a bunch of issues and threw them right at us on only day 1 of Sick Summer.

I can't believe the sheer amount of misinterpretation of the final statement going on in the comments.
"I don't have any bad feelings about what happened, it's not like I'm mad at Steve"
"I want to come up with a new plan for Mullet"…"back to the big block, IT IS A LOWER POWER LEVEL" "We've also abused it too" "Stupid stuff".
Etc, etc. Learn some listening comprehension. There was no disrespect there at all, Cleet acknowledged they did dumb stuff. Doing the same thing over and over again ain't working? Try something different, namely back to lower power that they can handle. Real simple.
Hold it together children, the big boys are still working together on other stuff, and have no bad blood while the Youtube comments turn it into drama of the century for no reason. Chill out.
Welds tend to break too easily on ultra high stress parts like that. You could case it down with a full v grove and just have the sides of the weld break out on ya at plus 200 simply because the metals are now dissimilar. Combine that with how legindarily difficult cast parts are to properly weld without causing cracks and I'm jus not sure it's worth welding those.
Id say keep with SMX just a freshie or the new procharger big bock Steve is working on
This comment section is wild but is fully justified this isn’t Steve’s fault. Don’t go back to a big block then when that breaks try going back to Steve. He’ll never forget that and you’d be lucky to get the same customer service as you have been getting.
So after your this video you put Steve in a tight spot. I don’t like that. Might have to turn YouTube off for a bit.
Good luck
SMX is the problem, they really suck, time to find something better.
I think you had too many wobble pops man. Get it together
Proof that old people CAN drive.
This is a tune problem. Stop running traction control down track. Find a tuner that knows that.
15:16 Daddy Cleetus there "you've already had icecream bud". 😂❤
Looks like cleetus finally found an engine to powerful for him?
Cletus/Garrett ows Steve an apology.
Hard to believe the Cleetus/Steve relationship lasted as long as it did. You do teenager things, you get teenager problems. The harder you push stuff, the more carefully you have to treat it and maintain it, and Cleetus couldn't maintain his own butt with both hands and a map. Absolutely no rational reason to blame Steve, especially in public. Doesn't matter whose engines Cleetus buys, he'll tear them all up from sheer laziness and stupidity. If you want to play in the big leagues, you gotta grow up.
Definitely a failure due to lack of maintenance and abuse. Kinda crappy to insinuate anything else.
Stick with a smx in eagle! Steve is so helpful when things break it’s unreal. And pro charger on the smx??
And I it sounds more like five than seven just saying
If i spent 50k+ on an engine, you bet id be doing oil samples every event.
Let's take a moment to appreciate cleet volunteering his time to support elevator safety
I would say after all the rods broke when steve still had the motor .I wounder if the rod caps were replaced after all that stress ?
Sam would run that with the hood open if he could.
Steve Morris builds Cleetus McFarlands engines, they accidently ran it to 9400 RPM, didn't even hurt the motor.
