  • Incredibly, this video has simultaneously cemented my desire not to do anything with crowdsec, and persuaded me to unsubscribe from one of my favorite channels. Truly a masterpiece.

  • Like i started loving reverse engineering because of you and even seeked to go deeper into analysis, please come back to the old stuff. Now I don't even know what I am watching anymore and am faithful to all yours videos, Cyber does not depend on the ads companies, we literally defend them by our analysis and findings.

  • Cmon bro stop clickbaiting ur videos its getting annoying dislike

  • Unsubscribed… I'm tired of seeing damn advertisements in video, 3-5 minutes of bullshit boot licking for a company, and then you proceed wasting my time going through a damn product promotion

  • wow wtf is this BS i thought u gonna let the hackers control ur pc Nahhhh u just fking use some sh*t called crowdsec and then u say wow look it blocked the ips uhm that doesnt really proof anything but suure now i see what people mean by advertising channel LMAO

  • just a add. don't you think we get ad abused enough ?. i would deff not buy crowdsec because of this vid.

  • In all honestly the comments sum it up. You've had good content but I think this now is a reach. It feels like I'm sitting down to watch an advertisement rather than sitting down to watch John Hammond. I'll keep subbed, hopefully you take the constructive criticism from the comments well.

  • I remember when this channel used to be about a dude trying to figure ish out not a advertisement channel

  • and where is the ransomware from the thumbnail?

  • john…. im sorry to say, this is disappointing. this is just an ad.

  • >15:16 min
    >7:44 min with sponsorblock installed

C'mon, John, you're better than this.
I really love your videos, especially the ones where you reverse engineer malware, so it would be a shame to see you become a sellout.

  • Reading people bitching is hysterical. This is all free info you get so the door is right there. People want to just take take take for as little as possible or for free. John youre awesome. Keep up the good work. Jesus people.

  • damn , what happened to john hammond channel ?! where is the ctf spirit ? what happened to vlogs ? why i can't find the ctf cybersecurity esport videos from john's friends ?

  • ATTENTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THE SERVER IS NOT EVEN VERNERABLE (AC I DONT KNOW THE SPELLING)
    DONT WASTE TIME'

  • Your channel sucks now man. In an area where trust is essential, I don’t believe a word you say anymore. It’s like watching an MLM rep. Later.

  • I'm sorry John, but this is where we part ways.

  • Hey John! Do you know where optional disappeared off to? He used to do KOTH with you. Hes been inactive on twitch and yt for past 2 years

  • I'm sorry, I understand you have to make a living and all, but 7 out of the last 10 videos you've posted have been sponsored videos that feel more like sales pitches, I'm unsubscribing for now, maybe you'll return to your old content one day and I'll re-sub. I pay for YouTube Premium to support content creators, only to be fed a 15 minute advert disguised as education.

  • not gonna lie, i recently subbed to you cause of ur good vids from the old days, now it seems like its just clickbait/ad videos lmao

  • Alright, next time John posts another ad I'm unsubscribing, sad, I used to recommend this channel to people that wanted to learn more about cybersecurity.

  • Unsubbed, you've completely sold out making your content quite literally awful to watch.

  • Very disappointed, have to unsub man, video seems dishonestly misleading and feel baited into watching.

  • Go to any channels like John, Network Chuck, David Bombal and etc. you'll see that they all are the same. pitching ads everywhere. they started with these technics of drawing people attention at first, then it becomes so boring and full of ads. in the end, you need to pay this and that. I don't know who to blame, is it google ? youtube? the creators? or the internet itself? aren't there any platforms where information is educational and free ? and even if it's free, does it help to learn? They seem not to care at all for their audience or people like me for that matter.

  • that's cool and all, but when does the hack start. Unsubbed

  • I feel like I'm tuning into a late night infomercial channel, but for infosec whenever I watch Johns vid's now…

  • to be honest, i just read the headline the other day and thought to myself "ah well… another hook topic for sponsor a or b" don't get me wrong, but it's really degenerated in this respect over the last few months.

  • I had noticed the quality of your videos getting worse for a while, but this one was the last straw. This isn't the content people want to see and I think being greedy will turn against you.
