Cool but can it run doom?
We have tested the original BQ edition of the Ubuntu phone 8 years ago. It was fun to play with, but perfectly useless in production use. I do not see to many changes though, although obviously it has improved.

How did you install Ubuntu Touch, I have exactly the same model unlocked and Touch makes me only mess, so I needed to back to Android, even though I want greatly to degoogle my phone! The first software shows the success of Ubuntu Touch installed on my phone unfortunately cannot start news Ubuntu on my phone!

In my opinion, most of these projects fail because the user experience is like it was developed in the stone age compared to the iPhone or standard Android phones today. These projects are often unfortunately led by engineers who don't have a shred of empathy for user experience nor aesthetics.
Sp does one plus one 64GB version is fully 100% ubuntu touch.
Ubuntu touch apps are poor , poor maps ,poor YouTube apps and poor apps..fact ive used ubuntu for 2 years u cant get banking apps etc its just a dumb phone

yeah, but you don't get okta, duo and other 2A apps working. you are pretty much out of luck if you are using this phone at work.

I wanted to like this video but I had to keep telling myself how foolish it would be to take advice from someone that paid $200 for Game Boy parts hot glued to a piece of cardboard.
Could you run androd apps in Anbox or a full version running in vm. I know the microsoft phones tried to do this at the very end. There are like 90 gagillion android phones and like 1 gagillion apple phones in the world today. Expecting app developers to also publish apps for ubuntu phones is rather ridiculous. I would think it should be essential to make it easy to run most android apps with very little tinkering if you want this to be usable.
How is it with Waze?
Only thing stopping the change to Linux or Graphene is the fact they will not run the banking apps in the UK.
