• You can cut the wire on the internal anti-knock sensor and attach an external one on the engine itself and all is good.

• The Tesla Cyber truck has some pretty good test reviews going for it. Not to mention that John DeLorean was a Coke Addled shyster. If Elon is smart enough to oversee the building of one the most successful rockets ever made, I’m guessing he will use the same sensibility in the materials chosen for his Cyber Truck. Judging from the sledge hammer testing that I’ve seen, the steel in the Cyber truck is of high grade. But everyone should know that even the best stainless steel can rust under the right conditions. Personally I think they’re ugly. But the solidity of the thing may make it the best utility pickup ever made.

• One really bad scam outfit is E-Car Financial. I think the company buys lemons at the auction houses to resell as-is with the down payment equaling their initial costs for the vehicle. The buyers start having problems right away so the company has the repairs done with the buyer paying for the parts. More problems arise so the buyer shells out more money. In the meantime, the vehicle sits at a repair shop for weeks while buyer continues to make payments. The company intentionally doesn't do sll the required repairs so the buyers can start bitching at the sales manager. The manager blows up snd says you bought it as-is so we're done fixing things for you. Many buyers make payments by check that's placed in the company's drop box. The company will throw their check in the trash do they can repo the vehicle in the dead of night or while at work. Some buyers will ask for a different vehicle right away and still get a lemon. The company won't refund their down payments either. They prey on the working poor minorities. The company is owned by a Russian in Pennsylvania that appears to have locations nationwide.

• Off shore wind is generally a feasible economic & engineering solution. Upto about 40% wind & solar is feasible for a power grid & the US power grid is currently at about 20%. If we were building new coal power plants today, it would cost even more.

• Well here in mass a car that is a 2000 doesn't have emission inspections just safety it's too old anything after 15 years old is only safety inspections no emissions so it would perfectly fine to drive a 2000 tundra with a knock sensor code here

• It never made sense to me. The oil company puts a little straw into the earth and sucks out the second most abundant liquid resource on the planet, oil. They also get natural gas. All this for a tiny footprint. Meanwhile the green fools destroy acre after acre of natural habitat mining minerals and building solar and wind farms which continue to kill animals as they work. When used up, they bury most of the parts because they can't be recycled. All allegedly to save on some carbon, which plants eat and make oxygen. It's all a scam.

• The windy city cannot run on wind power. The sunshine state cannot run on the sun.

• Delorean was actually a fiberglass body car covered with thin stainless steel plates. It was not a true stainless steel body car. On the other hand, Ford produced in total 18 stainless steel car units (6+6+6, 3 different models in different decades) for an American stainless steel company that seem to stand the test of time. I'm talking by memory, so I may forget something, but I was quite interested at some point in stainless steel as a primary material in cars (I still am) and costs aside, this material seems great for cars in terms of purely physical qualities perspective.

  The stylish Mercedes-Benz C-Class earned the dubious honor of being named the “Popular Luxury Sedan to Avoid” by Consumer Reports in 2023. Rated just 11th out of 15 overall in luxury compact cars, the car received a 2 out of 5 rating in predicted reliability and a 3 out of 5 in predicted owner satisfaction. The 2023 model has already been recalled three times by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration since its release.

  Volvo has always been perceived as a trusted and reliable luxury brand, but the folks at Consumer Reports are not impressed by the Volvo XC60. The two-row SUV was listed as a one to avoid, and fell right in the middle of the luxury compact SUV ratings. The car has a predicted reliability of 2 out of 5, and the 2022 model was also rated as “worse than average” with regards to its reliability. There are also three significant recalls on the vehicle from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration related to the electrical system, brake support system and engine cooling.

• I just bought a 2024 Mazda3 and I noticed that when I sit at a light and then let off the brake, my rpms go up a little without me hitting the gas pedal. The car doesn’t have an auto turn off or anything like that. I’ve heard it could have something to due with the breaks using a vacuum to assist. Is this normal? I’m coming off driving a 2004 Saturn Vue with 200k+ miles so there are many things with this car that feel different. Thanks

• I'd like a follow up to see if he had to actually pay that much money. I just quickly searched Google and it seems this is a "roll the dice and hope suckers will pay" scam. some victims that disputed this crap got everything reversed but maybe many folded and paid.

• This is 100% true about Turo. I read the fine print on their website and there is no insurance that can purchased by the renter. Turo only offers insurance to the owner who rents the car. The irony is that AMEX offered me 20% cash back on my card if I rented from Turo but the rental car insurance I have through AMEX won’t cover me for private, third party rental companies like Turo. Please be careful because if you rent from Turo and something happens, even if it’s not your fault, you will be liable.

• I punctured a rental car recently, sidewall damaged thus pointless using the inflation/repair can supplied by rental co. but they insist.
  they had to send breakdown recovery truck50km to take to offices. They had to give me another vehicle- no spare tyre on site – it cost me 275 euro.
  which had to be paid before I could get another car!
  i have the insurance covered but its going to be aa couple of months before I'm repaid
