In the Clouds (E36) | The Magic of AI ft. Brian Stevens
In this episode of In the Clouds, Stu is in conversation with former CTO of Red Hat and current CEO of Neural Magic, Brian Stevens.
Brian Stevens joined the Genpact board of directors in May 2020, adding deep expertise in software engineering, cloud, open source, virtualization, and machine learning to the board.
Currently the chairman of Neural Magic, a startup founded by a team of professors, research scientists, and former graduate students from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology who are co-innovating to create groundbreaking algorithms to make deep learning on commodity central processing units that outperforms proprietary graphics processing units.
Previously, Brian was vice president and chief technology officer (CTO) of Google Cloud. He also worked at Red Hat for more than 12 years, most recently as executive vice president of worldwide engineering and CTO.
He currently serves on the board of directors of Nutanix, a cloud-computing company, and as an advisor to ClimaCell, a micro weather forecasting company, and CapitalG, a private growth equity investment fund that is part of Alphabet.
Brian is a former member of the boards of directors of the American Red Cross, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, OpenStack Foundation, Digital Gravity, and Pentaho.
He has a master’s degree in computer systems from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of New Hampshire.
Neural Magic helps streamline your AI model deployment while maximizing computational efficiency as your inference server solution. Helps in significantly reducing infrastructure costs and complexity, as the solutions easily integrate with existing hardware, like CPUs and GPUs. With optimization techniques providing fast inference performance, it enables AI applications to deliver real-time insights and responses with minimal latency.
