(12 Jun 2021) INDIANA JONES’ ICONIC FEDORA IS GOING ON THE AUCTION BLOCK, ALONG WITH HARRY POTTER’S GLASSES AND WAND
The iconic fedora worn by Harrison Ford in “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom” is up for sale.
It’s one of over 1,200 film and TV props from the past 60 years of film and television going on the auction block at the Prop Store in Santa Clarita, California.
The fedora is valued at auction between $150,000-250,000 (USD).
Another lucky bidder will get to take home Harry Potter’s glasses and wand – both worn and used by Daniel Radcliffe during production on “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.”
The glasses and wand have an auction estimate of $30,000-50,000 (USD) each, with the proceeds going to Lumos Foundation USA, Inc., a charity founded by author J.K. Rowling.
Other items of note include the “Jeannie Bottle” from the television series “I Dream of Jeannie” with an estimate of $30,000 – 50,000 and Carrie Fisher’s heavily annotated “The Empire Strikes Back” script – the fifth draft from “Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back” with an estimate of $30,000 – 50,000.
Brandon Alinger, the COO of Prop Store, said an original R2 droid from the most recent “Star Wars” film, “Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker,” is also attracting a lot of attention with the “Star Wars” fans.
Bids can be placed online or by phone.
The auction will be livestreamed and runs three days starting on June 29.
