Install App Inventor in Ubuntu 12.04 Desktop
App Inventor is a graphical user programming environment for writing Android phone applications. This video demonstrates how to install MIT App Inventor for Android phones into Ubuntu 12.04. Checks are made to determine if the Ubuntu operating system is ready for the App Inventor install. See previous video on this channel- “Install Oracle/Sun Java in Ubuntu 12.04” which demonstrates Java install and how to configure browser to run Java Web Start applications if necessary. After checks are made App Inventor is installed. Finally a hello world program called Hello Purr is created using both graphics and media through the App Inventor Android phone emulator
