  • Wuhan technologies !! Chinese developers !!! is is just me or does this sounds very dodgy

  • I recently tried this method.
And it fails. It's not really the fault of the tutorial.
Deepin comes with a package called DKMS that is kernel specific. On new release of Ubuntu 20.04 we have newer kernel which isn't compatible.

To solve this, remove deepin related files from /var/dpkg/info. Remove the ppa. Update, autoremove.

This would help you fix this

  • Will command remain the same of ubuntu or it will be changed after ???

  • I mean, does Deepin Desktop Environment come with anything which collects data (like Deepin OS were alleged for) or does it gives the look and environment of Deepin OS on Ubuntu? Also,
I have been seeing Ubuntu DDE Remix being a seperate Distro, so updating Ubuntu's Environment into Deepin OS's one is the same as installing Ubuntu DDE Remix? Or is there any difference?

  • it doesnt look like deepin but thanks for taking your time in making the video! 😀

  • hi , i am ashutosh I like this tutorial but it isn't complete i would say as error occured on my pc and I can't understand what to do but then i resolved this then again i was like typing passswd again and agin but it was not responding

  • i want to remove everything from deepin of my pc. i had an error instaling and now every time i try to install anything, the terminal goes back to deepin anything and gives an error, i want to remove EVERYTHING! 🤦🏾‍♂️ 💔

  • with me it just comes:
    E: sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

    in ubuntu studio 20.04 LTS💔🤦🏾‍♂️

  • Please check if they installed any Covid vaccine app

  • Done that. Now i am stuck at login screen. Wrong password

  • Getting error at package ubuntudde-default-settings , unable to install due to xubuntu-default-settings
    Any fix?

  • Thanks for the video. Can I install only deepin file manger on Ubuntu ? I don't need deepin desktop environment.

  • How much MB is required to download…and is there any way to download this desktop environment from browser and install it?

  • If anybody is confused how to select the OK button in the prompts like I was, just press the tab key.

  • For those who got an error at around 98%, write the command "sudo apt-get update" without the quotation marks. Then rerun the install command by pressing the up arrow key until you find it and press enter.
