Install Read Only Domain Controller (RODC) on Windows Server 2022

1. Prepare

– DC21 : Doman Controller(Yi.vn) | DC22 : Domain Member

2. Step by step : Install Read Only Domain Controller (RODC)

– DC22 : Install Read Only Domain Controller (RODC)

+ Server Manager – Manage – Add Roles and Features – Next to Server Roles

– Select “Active Directory Domain Services” – Add Features – Next and Install – Close

+ Click Notifications – Click “Promote this server to a domain controller”

– Select “Add a domain controller to an existing domain”

– Specify domain controller capabilities and site information : Select “Read only domain controller (RODC)”

– Type the Directory Services Restore Mode (DSRM) password : Enter Password and Confirm password

– Next to Install – Restart

+ Logon use account Yiadministrator

+ Start – cmd – Type : nltest /dclist:Yi.vn === DC22.Yi.vn [RODC]
