  • Hey Chris, I am a linux beginner and my new system (Dell Desktop) came with a pre-packed Ubuntu 22.0.4 LTS with Gnome desktop environment. It has 8GB DDR5 RAM, 512 GB SSD and i7 13th Gen. The main problem is that even after all these quite drastic facilities, whenever I am opening multiple tabs (not mroe than 10) the whole system is freezing and is not coming back without a hard reset. I tried a number of different browsers and even turned off 'Hardware acceleration' in all those (as recommended by many) browsers but all in vain. I can't even understand what really is causing this problem. I am really at loss here, and so asking if you can guide me in any way?!! It would be much helpful for me.

  • It is actually now more complicated to download debian

  • It is a nice browser but it looks to be nothing but beta-ware. First, there is no install file and if there is one, it is not obvious. I downloaded the zip file, decompressed it, and ran it where it was on my secondary hard drive. To make it work properly, I would have to move it to my windows directories and set up shortcuts manually to make it work. And then it would not be listed in my programs and an uninstall would have to be done manually. Do you really think that an average user will remember to do that months down the line? I think not. Any developer that does not take the time to create a standard install file should not have his software idealized like you do with your recommendation here. Why are you promoting something that is do underdeveloped that it has no windows install? This is not for average users at all. Secondly, once run, it does not have any option to install my Brave settings, bookmarks and passwords that I can see. Brave and Edge always offer to import those, not Thorium. Overall, this program may be fast but it is totally useless without a normal windows install. Honestly, recommending programs from Github has some serious security concerns especially when there are so many files listed that it makes it impossible for an average user to know what to trust. I usually like your recommendations but not on this one, I think that you have lost it, recommending something that is still only half-baked and not even close to being a finished product. You may think that it is good, but I will pass on this one. Thanks for the preview but don't pass it off as even close to a finished product.

  • Well if you're going to be a real Linux snob. Get the distro that has you compile everything. Can't remember the name of that distro but that would be the perfect choice.

  • Youre a legend for sharing this web hosting tutorial! Ive dabbled in GoDaddy and Hostinger, but Cloudways with TST20 coupon is the true lifesaver.

  • Can you redo this video on Debian 12?

  • i'm into lubuntu this past 2 years tobe my "on the go OS" in my flashdisk, and then ricently dual booting into my notebook alongside windows.
i love it, it is ligthweight and working well on my hardware. but i did not realize that there is something called "Ubuntu Pro" happening for quite a while now hehe.. and i dont like it at all.
do you think "THIS IS THE TIME" for me, to try debian instead and make it looks like lubuntu myself?
i have try debian before, and it is did not goes well, because apparently i am installing the debian that did not have non-free firmware on it.

  • So this… installs unstable version of Debian, right?

  • You know you’re a nerd when this kind of stuff in your feed is exciting.

  • This post need to be updated or withdrawn. personnaly I'm tryinfg to utilize an old 32bit laptop and this on the face looks like a simple clean way. but the links shown no longer exist.

  • Is there a similar right way for Fedora and/or RHEL?

  • Just curious, are there any specific reason you would install everything to the same partition instead of partition out /home etc?
Does the cost in overhead (complexability) of creating additional partitions outweigh the benefits?

  • Ok so watching this video I have to reinstall my DEBIAN Linux I made a mistake thanks for this video

  • Debian updated their website June 2023 😛
"UPDATE 10 Jun 2023: As of Debian 12 (Bookworm), firmware is included in the normal Debian installer images. USERS NO LONGER NEED TO LOOK FOR SPECIAL VERSIONS HERE."

  • Thanks for this, however today I think to look for this particular download is now worse. Spent 25 minutes trying to find it.

  • Still prefer to install Mint, though. Why go through all this trouble? Am considering Mint DE.

  • I got this when entering that page now:

UPDATE 10 Jun 2023: As of Debian 12 (Bookworm), firmware is included in the normal Debian installer images. USERS NO LONGER NEED TO LOOK FOR SPECIAL VERSIONS HERE.
